I am a ballpoint pen devotee and this is my first Lamy. I love how balanced the pen feels; I was worried that it would be heavy and cumbersome. I was clearly wrong. The ink I found to be not as deep of a black as I like but that aside the pen writes very smooth. Very happy with this purchase.

Usually a pencil guy, I purchased this pen for on site interviews of an actuarial position. Still in the application process.

While this pen may be considered light by some it's my opinion of a wonderful writing to weight ratio. The smoothness and flow I was able to produce while writing with this pen felt amazing. Another superior quality is the feel of this Lamy 2000. The brushed body causes me to sometimes pick up this pen just for the smoothness and feel.

I was a heavy user for the past 5 years of the Pentel P205 0.5 mm pencil. But using this pen, I plan to add the Lamy 2000 0.5mm to my collection and possibly replace my P205's.

The best pen that I have ever used, super ergonomic and stylish. I like the refill it came with. I'm not a fan of gel refills so this is great for me. I also use the pencil in same version and I am upset with myself for not trying out this iconic pen years ago so I don't waste my time looking for that perfect pen. This is it. I will just use this pen forever.

You can pay more for a pen, but it won't really get better than this. Timeless modern design. My daily use pen.

very sleek pen with a medium point that writes very smoothly. I do prefer fine point but I was OK with the way this pen wrote. I would like to see Jet Pens carry a fine point for this pen (the Lamy company does make them-- I already checked).

The pen body is a thing of beauty. Superbly crafted, wonderful to hold. This is the only pen you ever need.

I ditched the disappointing lamy refill though - got a 3D printed adapter for the JSB 0.5 gel pen refills, and now I think this is perfection.

Gorgeous Pen! Like others have said, it has a velvety smoothness to it that makes you want to pick it up & hold it. The medium point writes very smoothly and the pen has excellent balance in your hand! My next EDC at work! Thanks, JetPens, for carrying this awesome pen!

I have loved this pen for more than 20 years! It remains my go-to everyday writer. The knock against the Lamy ballpoint refill is justified - they are old-fashioned ballpoint ink, they write OK, but not as dark or smooth as the best today. You can get a better refill from Monteverde, soft-roll, made for the Lamy, which writes quite well. Or get a 3D printed adapter and use a top notch D1 refill, but they don't last long. But the pen is great! Highly recommended!

One of my very favorite pens. Love the shape, broader in the middle and tapered at both ends. The Makrolon feels almost like smooth wood, very comfortable, and good grip. One star deducted for a clip that wiggles more than I'd like.
