As far as ballpoint pens go, I am usually a fan of the 0.5mm tip size, as it puts down super fine lines, usually is super smooth, and is great for notes. So when I bought this, it was only to reach the perfect 25.00$ in my cart. I didn't think too much of a bold ballpoint pen. Many of my close friends recommended I try a 1.0mm Jetstream as it glides across any kind of paper, but I was hesitant, preferring to use my 0.7mm one. I loved the 0.5mm Acroball, and boy can I tell you, I LOVED this one. The ink was ridiculously smooth. Sometimes I forgot I was holding a pen and thought I was rubbing a hot butter stick on a heated pan. Absolutely no friction. The blue was a blue that even today I compare other blues to. The grip is awesome, but not the best for intense study periods. Although I bought it only to fill up my cart, I can tell you right away: BUY THIS PEN!!! YOU WILL LOVE IT!!

I prefer an ink that doesn't smear and can be highlighted without smearing / feathering. This pushed me to check out oil-based hybrid inks. Of these, my favorite is the Acroball 1.0mm (black or blue). Very smooth writing, solid line without getting too bold or sloppy looking, great blue color.

Terrible pen. It skips. Threw it in the trash. Would give it zero stars if I could.

loved this pen so much I bought a refill and a second pen. sometimes the ink ghosts a bit but i don't mind

I normally use Pilot's rollerball pens, so I thought I would try the Acroball Ballpoint for my note taking...I thought using the 1.0mm would be better for ink-flow, but I think the ink-flow is too light for me and I find myself pressing down way to hard while writing. Not a bad everyday pen. I would still recommend the pen for all the ballpoint pen users, just not the one for me. Hope this helps someone.

Good pen, but I prefer the Uni Jetstream Color I got at the same time.

Smoothest ball point ever, especially for someone with a heavy hand like myself. I also like the rich , dark colors, close to a gel, but without the smear factor. Also really appreciate the fast and courteous service by the good folks at Jetpens!

I like having a pen with blue ink for use in signing official papers so I keep this one put away for such use. They all are great. jeans
