This pen is designed for "extreme" writing situations, not just day-to-day desktop or classroom use. You pay more for the ability to write on wet paper, at all angles, and at any temperature. This pen writes very well under those conditions, and is an excellent all-around performer as well. It isn't quite as smooth as a Jetstream, but I find it smoother than your average ballpoint pen. I don't use the red as much as my blue PowerTank, but I like the saturated colour of the ink and its writing feel. I think the cost is very reasonable, especially compared to pens by Rite in the Rain (one of my previous favourites), or the Fisher space pen.

I bought both black and red pens. Both write great except for one thing. The .7mm writes like a .5mm or thinner. I really love the pens, but the extreme thin line makes it hard to see for me for most of my uses. I first thought it was a break-in issue, but it seems to be the way the pen is designed. They do write very smooth.

Great balance to this pen. Writes smooth and keeps the fine point finish.

This is a must have pen, ergonomics on it a very good! ink is really smooth. yeah must have if you write with red ink.

Writes wonderfully! One of my favorite writers, the pen is comfortable in the hand. Feels cheap, but for the price I won't refill the barrel, just buy new. The refill doesn't seem to fit anything else though, which is a small disappointment. Again, for the price, you can't go wrong though.

I love these so much, but find I'm always buying more because People CONVENIENTLY forget to put them back where they Belong.
I waiver between the .7 & 1.0 mm because the .7 seems scratchy + has more problems with proper flow.
Still love this Pen. Must have both Colours where ever I am working.
