Writes with a line similar to a 0.38mm gel pen, and about twice as smooth. There is almost no friction on these. I will however have to see how they stack up against the Jetstream. As far as I have tried, the 0.7 Jetstream writes pretty well, but it is too thick for my taste. I still need to try it in a 0.5mm or 0.38mm. I will return after I have tried those.

Acroball .5's are one of a handful of pens I will never willingly do without anymore. They write very smooth and don't skip or blob. Comfortable to hold.

I got this from my local bookstore, and man, it was great!

*Pros*
- Ink flow is superb! Deserves a 5.1-star rating!
- The body looks epic! I like the somewhat transparent body so I can look in and see the amount of ink left inside. I also like the visual effects near the clicker.
- The grip is nice and textured. I like the satisfaction of holding it in my hands.
- The clicker feels very elastic and sounds crisp. It is very useful to click to annoy your neighbors, and it sort of builds a rail for your train of thought.
- The ink is easy to refill. I got mine as a value pack that includes a refill and it cost SGD 2.50. Simply roll the grip off and replace the ink!

*Cons*
- The tip is marked as 'EF' or extra-fine. If you like bolder lines, check out the 0.7 or 1.0 variants!

In other words, this pen is totally not overrated, and it is totally perfect for everyday writing!

Nice pen. No smearing, but will ghost on a stalogy. Doesn't bother me any, just a FYI.
