The Fisher Space Pen features awesome minimalist design, with a twist.

It is a very good quality product. This pen is virtually bulletproof as far as strength goes and is engineered to last a lifetime. Thankfully the esthetics is also both timeless and classy.

This is the ORIGINAL pressurized ink pen.

It is not a sleeker version of the Power-Tank, but the INSPIRATION for the Power-Tank. No disrespect is meant to the geniuses at Uni-Mitsubishi, because they made the Power-Tank an equally great product to the Space Pen. It is just that these two pens were created to do the same thing, but with a completely different design intent.

Uni engineered the Power-Tank to be a "better" disposable pen: One that writes predictably well regardless of the conditions thrust upon it. As most people know they succeeded, but it is still, as I’ve stated before, a disposable pen. It looks cheaply made, because in order to capture their design intent IT IS cheaply made.

I’d love to see Uni come out with a more mature facade for the Power-Tank. It is my workhorse for outdoor engineering work. For a serious meeting however, I would choose the Fisher Space Pen. Perception is everything. Something as trivial as so-called “pen ethics” could be the difference between a high paying contract and failure.

A classic. I keep one deep down in my pocket. That way, I don't have to sign receipts with the same pen as people who don't wash their hands.

Thirty years ago, a classmate of mine in art school gave me this pen because I love pens and was enamored at its compact size and ability to write anywhere-- even when lying down holding your notebook. Where certainly any other pen would stop writing, this pen can write at any angle.

I used this pen for years, never having to change the ink (I don't know if you can change the ink--I never had to).

Alas, after a car accident and years of recovery the pen was lost in the fuss.

As I'm currently bedridden from said accident, I am SO happy to have found this space pen again as it will enable me to write while in a not so writer- friendly position.

Thank you Jetpens for reminding me of this workhorse of a ballpoint pen!

Great pen. It writes significantly smoother than a regular ballpoint, which was desired, in addition to being usable at angles counter to gravity. I'm definitely one to use a wall as a writing support surface and regular pens fail under that condition.

I had one of these last year, but someone nicked it whist at school. I was bitterly disappointed as I only had it for a few months. I tried in vain to recover it. So I bought another one the other day which I hope to keep on to for a while!

This pen is built to last. It's solid brass and it shows. I love this pen's simplicity so I haven't had any interest in the clip. The only problem that I've had with the old pen is that the chrome scratches easily. My new one is being babied. It works like advertised in my use, but I can't vouch for it's zero-G properties. If someone wants to launch me into space to allow me to test it, be my guest.

The ink is great, and comes out smooth. Some say that they have to press down really hard to get a bold line but I haven't had the problem, but I tend to write with a heavy hand anyhow. There are some white dots in my writing, but I think any sort of pen would have that problem. It's certainly a cool pen, and I hope to use it on all my exams!

If you buy this pen, you will not be disappointed. If you somehow are, it's backed by a bullet proof warranty so there's nothing to loose!
